Boots required for City of Bristol Academy

Hi all, We should hopefully be moving to City Academy this week but we are still waiting for confirmation and times may be slightly different. They have very strict footwear rules. Web help needed

Can anyone volunteer to keep the womens footy web page updated e.g. with training times/locations? It's dead easy, I just need to give you some log in info and basic instructions. You need access to a laptop and internet (probably a bit hard to do on your phone, plus the mobile view of the website isn't really working yet). It won't need updating often. I would be eternally grateful! It's little jobs like this that keep the team running. Sal x

Hi all, Training tomorrow with be on the outdoor Astro pitches at Fairfield School on Muller Road from 8-9pm. We have received an update from City Academy and we are hoping to commence training there either next week or the week after. If anyone needs a lift from Easton / Fishponds please let me know. URGENT - Training this week will remain at Oldbury Court at 7pm

Hi all, Unfortunately we have just found out City Academy is not ready to open, therefore training will remain at Oldbury Court until we can find an alternative solution. We will update you as soon as we know more, but as it stands they have not confirmed when they expect to open. In the meantime I have attached a guide to the footwear that is allowed at the City Academy, this is mandatory and unlike Brunel, they will NOT let you on the pitch unless wearing correct footwear. Please remember we never want money to be a barrier to people playing and we have funds to support people to train, so if you need support or know anyone that might need support to get correct footwear please get in touch. Over 35’s league

Hi all, So I have been in discussions with people about trying to start an over 35’s league. One of the new casual league teams from last season aren’t continuing because they found even the development league too young and competitive. We have players in a similar position. So what I want to know is.... Would you be interested in joining a new less competitive over 35’s league? NB: in the men’s over 35 league they can have a certain number of players under 35 per team so you may still be able to join if younger and just want to play less competitively. What would be important to you about defining the rules of this league? (to make sure it didn’t just turn into the same level as casual league) Thanks all. 5 aside this Saturday - Bookie’s fun day

Hi all, Bookie’s fun day is this Saturday. Details below. I’m trying to rustle up 4 teams for a mini tournament. Women only. Let me know if you can play? I also have raffle tickets, £2 each so please buy a few if you can’t make the day :) Come and join us at Chelsea Park, Easton (over the road from The Plough) on Saturday 29 August from 11am to raise money to support the school children and community of Kingston, Jamaican. Ticket prices: *Adult £12* - includes a Carribean meal and a drink *Child £8* - includes burger or hot dog with a drink, face painting and unlimited bouncy castle fun _(each session is 5 minutes with a maximum of 5 children - children will need to queue after each session)_ *Alternatively come and enjoy the day pay as you go.* The day will include Carribean BBQ, bouncy castle, face painting, football tournament, the opportunity to get a bargain on pre-loved books and toys and much more. *We would ask that everyone does their part and observes social distancing measures.* >From 5pm to late we will be hosting a silent party - *headphones avaliable for hire £15.* Raffle tickets avaliable from Bookie NOW and on the day. Winners will be announced on our Facebook page on Sunday 30 August.
