Hi yous,
who's got the Cowgirls training kit bag? It won't have been used since we
were at Eastville Park or even before Mark started coaching us so might be
hidden away somewhere. I want to take it off your hands and amalgamate it
with the one I have.
Sal x
Hello,
I hope that this is a good way of contacting you. I think that my colleague, Rozzy, sent an email yesterday, but I just wanted to double up in case we missed you!
I work for a TV production company in Bristol called Off The Fence. We make some of the short films that appear on The One Show on BBC One, and we are currently working on a film for the programme about the Italia '90 Football World Cup.
We were wondering if anyone in the Easton Cowpeople teams would like to be involved?
This summer marks 30 years since the tournament, so we are looking for a few people around Bristol to participate in a quick and easy interview about your memories of Italia '90; we know many people still have a lot to say about it all these years later! So if you're that person who still gets teary-eyed when you think about Gazza's yellow card or when you hear the song 'Nessun Dorma,' we'd love to hear from you!
We hope to do the filming on Thursday and we would only need about 20 minutes of your time. Of course, all filming will adhere to social distancing. If you'd like to be involved but aren't free on Thursday - or you are self-isolating - it might still be possible to submit a video message for the film, so do please get in touch! For those of you who are willing and able to get out, it would be awesome to get a few of you together and kitted up for the interview... so get in touch if you'd be up for this!
We'd also be interested in hearing from people from the 24 different countries that competed in Italia '90, so if that's you, please let us know.
For more information please just drop either me or Rozzy an email at isaac.stirling(a)offthefence.com or rozzy.adams(a)offthefence.com
Thanks so much in advance for your time, and looking forward to hearing from you,
Isaac

> As this is really in the public eye right now, a few of us had the idea of making a collage of photos of as many of us as possible holding a sheet of paper with the name of a POC who has been killed in police custody, especially here in the UK. As the list is hundreds long (or more!) it may get so big that you can't read the names any more, but I think that only adds to the point.

> We're collating a spreadsheet of names. Please add to it if you can and/or pick a name, write your name next to theirs and then take a photo of yourself holding an A4 sheet of paper with their name on in front of your chest, like a mug shot. Then send it to me.

Hello all!
Please see below for a message from Hamed, our friend and main contact in Hebron, Palestine, who has helped us massively with both Cowgirls trips to Palestine. It would be great to see some Cowgirls-faces at the meeting, which will be on the 01/06/2020 at 6pm UK time. If you are able to attend please let me know and I will forward you the zoom link!
Hopefully see you there!!!
Lots of cow love,
Becs
Dearest Cowgirls: IT IS TIME TO MEEEEETTTTTTT.
The year 2020 has been a tough one so far; between illness, a deadly virus that brought the world to stand still, a lock down that affected negatively all facets of life, an occupation that is entrenching itself even deeper with dire consequences (present and future) for the Palestinian population.
With alllll that in mind, it seems that we have been reduced to be looking for glimpse of hope anywhere we can find it. We, at HIRN, thought that a meeting of friends would help bring much-needed rays of sunshine and glimpse of hope into our lives and the lives of the less fortunate.
So, why should YOU participate in this meeting?
• You are TRULY missed and it would be GREAT to see you again. We will be celebrating our longstanding friendship together as we will begin the meeting with a clink of glasses of wine, coffee, tab water, fizzy sprinkle water, natural juice, artificial juice or even milk. (of course not ALLLL of them together).
• Celebrate together HIRN’s 10th anniversary. The official work of HIRN has started in 2010, though its initial work started to take root as early as 2002. The ongoing work and the GREAT impact it had on the most vulrnable would not have taken place if it wasn’t for YOU. So, it seems logical enough that when we celebrate a milestone, you would be HIRN’s Guest of Honor.
• For the sake of transparency, we wanted to tell you about what we have done with the donations that we have received. HIRN will provide a short presentation that some of the activities we carried out in 2019 just to inform you where your money was spent.
• To muster additional financial resources for HIRN as donations will be accepted at the event as to make additional changes and improvements on the ground. SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOO, HIRN is inviting you to a zoom meeting on June 1, 2020, at 6:00 PM UK time, 8:00 PM Jerusalem time, 1:00 PM New York time. A zoom invitation will be sent to you soon.
It would be appreciated if you can confirm attendance for logistic purposes. It would be a PLEASURE and an HONOR for us if you would join our celebration.
Hi,
I don't have a Twitter account. Is it possible to share this via the cow account or would it need to be voted on first?
----- Forwarded message ----- From: Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) <mails(a)bdsnationalcommittee.org>To: Ange Barlow <angebarlow(a)yahoo.co.uk>Sent: Monday, 18 May 2020, 14:25:12 BSTSubject: Urge Superstar Footballer Raheem Sterling Not to Sign With Puma
Dear supporter,
Puma is courting football superstar Raheem Sterling with a record-breaking sponsorship deal of more than 100 million euro.
We can’t allow Puma to use Raheem Sterling's anti-racist stance.
Puma supports illegal Israeli settlements forcing Palestinian families from their homes, making them even more vulnerable during a pandemic.
Sterling is known for speaking out against racism. He has advocated using economic pressure to bring about change. He has called for more people to speak out.
Let’s do that.
Take action now to thank Raheem Sterling for his stand against racism and urge him not to accept Puma’s dirty money.
Let Raheem Sterling know that Puma s upports Israel's apartheid against Palestinians that South Africans say is worse than what they endured.
Let Raheem Sterling know that Puma supports Israel's racist apartheid policies oppressing Palestinians, making them even more vulnerable in a pandemic.
Send an email to Raheem Sterling urging him not to sign with Puma as long as Puma supports racism.
Puma has been under increasing pressure to end its support for Israel’s military occupation and racist apartheid policies.
Puma is the main sponsor of the Israel Football Association, which includes clubs in illegal Israeli settlements. Puma’s exclusive licensee in Israel is listed in the UN database of companies active in illegal settlements.
Sports teams have dropped Puma sponsorship and pledged not to join the #PumaFam until Puma ends its complicity in Israel’s violations of Palestinian rights.
News of Puma’s 100 million euro offer to Sterling has reportedly caused tension within the company, which has recently furloughed staff members due to cutbacks during the pandemic.
Urge Raheem Sterling to Reject Puma’s offer as long as Puma supports Israeli apartheid.
Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel
The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) was initiated in 2004 to contribute to the struggle for Palestinian freedom, justice and equality. PACBI advocates for the boycott of Israeli academic and cultural institutions, given their deep and persistent complicity in Israel’s denial of Palestinian rights as stipulated in international law.
