Hi all, I’m not going to be able to make training tonight as need to have kids. I’m supposed to be selling Bookie’s raffle tickets so if you want to buy some can you transfer me the money and message me and I’ll write your name on the tickets and send you a picture of your ticket. They are £2 and all funds are going to a charity supporting the youth in Bookie’s home town Kingston, Jamaica. Bank deets by the way are: ms s Mallaghan 165810

The raffle will be at his fun day next Saturday. Can you also let me know if you want to play some 5 aside in the afternoon. It will be women’s only and hopefully a couple of misfit trans against a couple of cow teams :)

Hey all, regarding Saturday...Tom has got in touch with my asking me to reassure everyone that it is going to be a fun day and it’s about getting to know everyone and not football skills. So please don’t let that put you off. He had heard that some cowgirls were put off by the boys taking things too seriously. His msg - I've been hearing the girls might think it's too serious...?
I'm doing a draw for the teams, so random teans, there is no overhead height, roll in from the touch line, etc etc it's more a funday and getting to know you than serious competition until the final may be. If you could relay this please sooooz. It's a fun day to get to know you day and long overdue. If you could share the love yet again sister that would be marvellous. Also lots of newbies who need educating. Cheers xx
So whether you are new or old, please come along and join the fun :)

Once teams are picked if we could stay in your team groups socially distancing when you can.

Subject: Your City Our Future - your chance to help shape the city's
recovery post Covid-19
To:
Hello there, hope your week has started well? Part of our role at the VIP
project is to try and ensure that those whose voices are not often heard
have an opportunity to engage in public consultations.
Covid-19 has been all of our pre-occupation since March and still a lot of
learning to be had. The Council have launched a consultation for creating
recovery plan post Covid-19 and are keen to hear from all its citizens and
community groups. Below are all the details and links related to the
consultation.
*Bristolians to help shape the city’s recovery post COVID-19*
Citizens are being given the chance to help shape the future of Bristol as
the city rebuilds following lockdown and continues to adapt to the
challenges posed by COVID-19.
‘Your City, Our Future’ is a new Bristol City Council project which seeks
the views and ideas from citizens and community groups in the city’s
recovery plan. The first part of the project is a city-wide survey finding
out how people’s lives have changed and what can be learnt from how
citizens have travelled, worked and spent leisure time over the past few
months.
Citizens will be able to share their views on how to build a healthier,
fairer and more sustainable city in a comprehensive citizen’s survey that
will feed into Bristol’s recovery plan.
‘Your City, Our Future’ will culminate in a Citizen’s Assembly where one
hundred people representing every part of the city will come together to
tackle the city’s most important issues.
*We would appreciate your help encouraging people in your networks to take
part in the consultation. * *We have produced a toolkit which I hope you
will find helpful*
<https://files.smartsurvey.io/2/0/6WY6NX7W/Your_City_Our_Future_Toolkit.pdf> *–
it includes downloadable posters, sample copy for newsletters and example
social media messages. *
*More information is available, along with the questionnaire at *

Information can be provided in an alternative format by emailing

The consultation closes on 9 September 2020.
Many thanks,
Bristol City Council Consultation & Engagement Team

Date for your diary peeps. Bookie from the plough is organising a family fun day in Chelsea park to raise money for charities in Jamaica. There will be a 5 aside football tournament both men’s and women’s and I’ve said we should be able to enter two teams and I will try and recruit a couple more. It’s 29th Aug and £20 team entry

https://planningonline.bristol.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetail…
I am objecting to the planning application submitted to build a 3-story
building of residential flats at the rear of All Hallows Hall in Easton BS5
0HH (planning application number 20/02804/LA).
My primary objection is due to the detrimental effect this will have on the
use of the hall and adjoining building by the community, as well as loss of
light and space and overcrowding.
All Hallows Hall, which is Grade 2 listed, is a vital amenity for the
diverse community of Easton. It is currently home to a weekly Cooperative
Gym, The Ping Pong Parlour, acting classes, circus training and community
events including dances, pop ups, live music, markets, arts events, film
festivals and affordable rehearsal space. It is also being used as a base
for the 'Community Care Package' charitable food box scheme, which is
providing free, healthy food to thousands of people across Bristol who have
been affected by the Covid-19 crisis.
The build would remove the stage area of the Hall, where the community have
come together for the past 8 years to share music, performances and much
more, as well as 2 of the 3 fire escapes. This would severely restrict the
number of people that the hall could accommodate at one time, effectively
ending the ability to host evening events and reducing access to the
various activities listed above.
It would also limit the use of the outdoor space, which is shared with the
adjoining building - home to the 'Baggator' young people's project and
'Super Super Club' meal scheme. All Hallows Co-op and Baggator, with aid
from the BBC’s ‘Operation People Power’, have been creating a safe outdoor
space for vulnerable members of the local community who already have very
little outside private space in Easton. As well as the reduction in numbers
that could be accomodated, this space would be overlooked by the flats,
thus rendering it virtually useless to vulnerable women and young people.
In summary, I feel that the building of 4 flats squeezed into the small
space between 2 valued community projects will depreciate the character of
the local area, downgrade the usefulness of this well-loved and utilised
grade 2 listed building and will have a detrimental effect on the community
of Easton which it currently helps to support in a multitude of ways.
