It's a really good way to see how the club is run and to share any ideas you have lurking around. The Cowgirls are full for now

Hi Everyone, I'm afraid to say that we are now CLOSED TO NEW MEMBERS. We have got too hot for our own underpants and so to adhere to capacity when we return to City Academy, we cannot accept any new members. There are a couple of people who have reached out over socials/emails/pride who might not have turned up yet but for any new requests, we are closed and trying to increase capacity so we can open again. Important information please read

Hi ya folks. Our team has expanded beautifully in the last few months. And the committee would like to thank those who have joined us you have all been a great addition to the team. We are signing up folk to the Bristol women's casual league, which allows us to play with other women from different teams in the league. The casual league is one Saturday a month-ish, from October - to around May(TBC) and requires full commitment to ensure that the games can be played and not postponed. Whether you have joined the league before or not, please email me if you are interested. sensi001(a)hotmail.com. Regarding training and playing games at the end of the session. It is important that we ALL remember that training is about improving individual skill and working together as a team, if someone is struggling, offer support, or if you think you have a suggestion that can help Mark with coaching speak with him, he is happy to get the additional help. The game at the end isn't about showing off as an individual... It's about empowering your team members and encouraging them, to do this, from Thursday onwards teams are going to be balanced with experienced and inexperienced players. This will ensure that when we get to league games everyone's confidence will be improved. In addition, we pride ourselves on being a community and a football team.. To strengthen this, it is encouraged that it's everyone's role to make new players feel welcome, please show them lots of cow love and encourage and involve them during and after the session. Thanks so much. If you require to speak with someone about any suggestions/improvements for the team then please contact any of the committee members who are Sensi, Hannah P, Peta, Isy O'Hagan, Jo, Evelyn and Lizzie Winter. The meeting wasn't quorate which was a pain in the arse because we now have to have an EGM (deets in red below) so PLEASE make sure your sector is represented - don't leave it to other people etc etc nag nag. We also need new committee members as detailed below so please have a think and step up if you can. The main role of the Chair is to organise and Chair 2 meetings per year, the AGM and BGM. Making sure the meetings are quorate (2 persons for each section of club, except CACKK that only requires 1) and making sure everyone at the meeting is included and gets a chance to speak / respond to discussion topics. There are other requests and questions raised throughout the year, these are normally delegated to each section of the club. If a full club decision is required this is discussed as a committee (normally via WhatsApp) and any major decisions are taken to the AGM/BGM or in exception circumstances an Emergency meeting. The responsibilities do escalate significantly when we are planning a tournament, however this will not happen in the next two years. I’m happy to answer any questions and support the new chair. Secretarial role: Pretty darned simple (hence Linners managing it for a few years. I managed to only nap through one meeting! Boom!). Forward emails to the appropriate Cowfolk members – this should be very rare as the inquiries are being sent direct soon. Take and distribute meeting minutes. Easy peasy. You’ll just need access to Peashooter distro list to do this. And not nap through aforementioned meetings. Applaud the treasurer and chair who both have a much more demanding role. EGM is Monday 10th July at 6.45pm. We aim for it to be 20 minutes long; no more than half an hour at most. Option of online attendance.
