Just to clarify, this is not part of the cowgirls, but an initiative set up by someone in our league. If you want to get some more football training in a fun, inclusive environment then this is for you!

The Men's Saturdays A team have a game against Bristol Panthers (Bristol
LGBTQ+ team) on Saturday 29th at South Bristol Sports centre at 2pm. Come
down and support both teams (but mainly Cowboys, of course!).

Hello all!
Please see below a request for donations for the family of Harun, who was
shot in the neck by Israeli soldiers on the 2nd January this year. He
happened to be in the wrong place when Israeli soldiers confiscated a
generator and trashed solar panels from his neighbours. After they shot
him, they just drove off, leaving him in a pool of blood.
He has been in hospital since then, but there are some improvements. Our
friends at HIRN and The Villagers Group are working with the family to help
them plan for the future and continue standing their ground on their land.
I have requested a small amount from the Cowgirls fund to donate, but if
you have any spare pounds to give I am sure that would help, too! Details
as to how to do that are below.

Dear all:
It was such a lovely night tonight. We had a wonderful Iftar with the
family of Harun Abu Aram in their cave in Al Rakeez hamlet. Yes … they are
still there DESPITE repeated demolitions and the almost-death of Harun. We
(the Group and the Harun Family) were united in humanity. Harun, what took
place to him and the countless hours we have spent over the past
four-and-a-half months trying to secure a better future for Harun with
multiple hospitals and people with authority have fused us into one bigger
family. We did not feel like outsiders. We felt part of the family. WE WERE
ONE.
It was a good chance to discuss the multi-layers of the Harun condition; we
discussed his current health improvement as we have received the delightful
news that he can breath on his own now, his blood pressure has stabilized
and he is off addictive medication. There is a light at the end of this
tunnel. Now we are looking into the possibility of removing him to a
rehabilitation center ….. it took us a llllllooooooonnnnnngggggggggg time
to get to this stage. While we are looking into the next stage, three
parallel developments are taking place. They are as follows:
1) Improving the living conditions inside of the cave in Al Rakeez as
the family have expanded the space inside of it through digging it from the
inside. Currently the area of the cave has almost doubled. The family is
currently waiting for additional building materials promised by the village
council to finalize work inside the cave.
2) As the prospects of releasing Harun (we are at the early stage of
this) are increasing, the family is currently working on establishing a
suitable room that is compatible to Harun’s condition in the city of Yatta.
We are working with the family to make sure that the building process takes
into consideration the exceptional needs of Harun in terms of mobility,
ramps, wider doors, specially-designed bathroom and multiple electrical
sockets, among other things.
3) We are working with the family to provide them with a dignified
source of income to enable them to face the mounting expenses related to
Harun’s future medications and the impact of the loss of one of the main
breadwinners for the entire family. We also have a breakthrough into this
issue, *but we need your help to reach our goal*; the family have requested
from us the assistance to secure a herd that would cost an estimated 50,000
shekels ($15,375). At the onset of the proposal, we said “ wwwwwoooooowwww
….. we can’t afford THAT !!!!!!!”. Yet, nearly only two days after that, we
received the excellent news that a friend of ours would be willing to put
forth 25,000 shekels IF AND ONLY IF we manage to raise the remaining 25,000
shekels. It would be GREAT if YOU could help us out to raise the matching.

TRAINING IS BACK ON AT CITY ACADEMY TOMORROW!!!
Sorry (not sorry), I'm rather excited! Training is back at City Academy
tomorrow evening, from 7.30pm. Please be on time, as we need to keep lists
and all that jazz again. We have a proper half pitch, so plenty of space.
Please remember appropriate boots (Moulds, no Astro’s or Blades). If in
doubt, please check. There’s a picture attached - we also have some spare
and City Academy do hire them out I think. Wear a face covering to go
through the building to get to the pitch.

Hi all,
At the meeting last night, we discussed how it would be handy to have a collection of spare boots suitable for City Academy to facilitate newbies trying it out without having to buy new boots.
Harry also pointed out that you can rent boots from City Academy but we didn't know if this was restricted due to Covid.
Anyway, I have attached the Approved Footwear guide, if you have a spare/old pair you would be happy to donate, please let me know and what size they are.
