I think you missed the emoji's which also are not available in IRC which I found out today 😉.

No really good sum-up! I guess file-sharing could be important as well.

But I guess the most important feature is that almost all communication can be hooked into one. So if someone make a GitHub update you “can” get a notification in your channel, same for posts made by Orderofthebee. So every needed info is right there in one tool how awesome is that 😇.
