[OOTB-hive] Patches in the Honeycomb distro

Hi Tahir
 
I'm very interested in how this would work in practice.
 
Presumably we don't want to fork the alfresco github repositories.
 
How do you see the patches being applied in the build pipeline? Looking
at jenkins it seems the best way is a 'pre-build' step of type 'Execute
shell' where we could clone the patches repo and apply it to the checked
out workspace.
