Not only has the European Broadcasting Union refused to listen to Palestinians – but it’s been complicit in covering up Israel’s crimes. This year’s pre-Eurovision party “Israel Calling” saw participants plant trees on top of ethnically cleansed Palestinian villages, whose displaced residents are barred by Israel from returning. Here’s what you can do today: Tomorrow, the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest will be taking place in Liverpool. The contest should be a space for joyful celebration. But Eurovision's organisers refuse to distance the contest from Israel's grave violations of Palestinian rights. There should be no Eurovision party that includes Israeli apartheid.
