It is that time where we need to meet again to discuss the organisation of the end of season awards, by now each team should have done their nominations for your players, for example, best striker, wonkey donkey, most improved, best newcomer, player of the season. Please remember you will need to source your own trophies from your teams' budget (if you have one) if not please speak with Paddy(chair) and Isy O'Hagan (treasurer) about this .  


Please see below for direction on what requires to be discussed further and what actions need to be actioned. The proposed  date for follow up meeting is the 10th of July 2024 6pm at HQ (Plough)

Good afternoon all,

I am emailing just to politely  remind you all that the end of season awards is still happening.

So I am reposting what was discussed and the actions that was agreed,
 

To confirm, the end of season awards is happening on the 27th of July at the Easton Community centre, between 3pm(set up time) and 9pm (pack down) There will be food and games to fundraise for the 4th team and Palestine charity HIRN. 
70% to 4th team 30% to HIRN.


The theme is Watermelon colours to represent Palestine. 

The following teams have agreed to help with 

Set-up Netball team

Cooking- Tammi, Holly-Mae, and Hemish Peta.

Fundraisng-music  bingo, pooh the potato -Ray 3rds, Hemish, 

Netball  (shot fot a shot)

Beat the keeper-Christ 1st team

Light introduction to softball- Reece

Softball human fruit machine

Softball version of ‘beat the keeper’ outside..

Sensi and Timmy MCs-will try to keep the order of service so we don't go over. 

Cowgirls and  softball pack down 9pm

Ray from 3rd team to do the accounting . Ray 3rds  to do a shout out to the Late Ashley 

Merchandise sales.  Need volunteers for.


There will be a projector so if someone has access to a usb stick to download pictures , for teams to add their team photos. We can have a slide show in the background. 

Each team is to use their team budget(if you have one) to get awards and prizes for the evening.  One person from each team to introduce their awards.  Tim and I will send an order of service to help with timings. 


Please remember  the organisation  of making the end of season awards successful isn't limited to the named people/teams who have stepped up to help before or on the evening of the awards. 

If you think you can help in anyway that could be creating a flyer to share amongst the team, that could be helping with a fundraising ideas, photos.....taking photos,  videoing.

I  may have missed something out, if so holla back via email, message me or hit me up in the Plough.

Please remember that the meeting to discuss End of Season awards is happening tomorrow 31st of May at 7pm at the Plough. It is important that all sections of the team is in attendance to ensure that we have a banging time. 
The Easton Community centre has been paid. So we have a venue and set times.  Just need a plan on how to carry out the award ceremony.

Thank you to those who were able to attend last weeks meeting both in person and online, and via WhatsApp.


We discussed at the meeting mainly what roles need to be filled, the theme- Palestine colours and the date 27th of July.  

The roles listed below will need to be discussed at our next planning meeting 30th of May at the Plough 6:30pm.  Same as the last meeting we would like one or two people from each section of the club to attend the planning meeting, to ensure that roles are distributed fairly, ALL men's teams, Softball, Netball, Women's football, Basketball,  Cricket,..... And the rest if it not mentioned already

Roles
Fundraising activities for after the awards
2x teams to cook 
Set up at ECC before 
Pack down after.
Host awards-  engaging the audience, and keeping the program flowing smoothly.



If you would like to contribute any further or if you have any questions  please attend the meeting on the 30th of May at 6:30pm at the Plough.



Date of awards has been booked in for:-  Saturday  27th of July  at Easton community Centre (ECC) between 3pm-10pm.
