Support the Colston 4 - Actions to take on Monday 25th Jan

Easton Cowgirls want to show our support and solidarity for the four people in court on Monday 25th January, charged with criminal damage for removing the statue of slave trader Edward Colston which has loomed over our city.

1. Please share this gaphic (prepared by Liz, thanks!) on your Facebok / Twitter / Instagrams on Monday between 9.30am and 10am adding something about why you joined the demo in June (if you did) or your reaction when you heard the statue had fallen. Please use the hashtag #gladcolstonsgone

2. There will be on online demo and 'teach-in' on Monday morning at 9.30am with speeches and an 8 minute silent vigil. 3. On Monday evening there will be a series of short films and a discussion panel hosted by Bristol Radical History Group and Cube Cinema. The films will start at 7pm with an online discussion starting at 9pm with filmmakers Lawrence Hoo, Michael Jenkins and Rob Mitchell hosted by Cleo Lake.
