The football is taking place between 12pm and 3pm at Bristol Goals South Brislington, it is 8aside and there will be a small cost to participate.
Once the footie is finished we will head down to the Pickle factory to join the 4th team to eat meet and greet with Republica, the 4th team and many more..
If you wish to participate in any of the above please get in touch.
If you can't play football and you can help with cooking we will be most greatful, veggie vegan preferably.
If there are folks that have capacity to put some folks up for the night from Republica please let me know. This will be very helpful.
Hope to see you on the football pitch and or there after.

hello!
I've never played football before but would love to get involved even if
it's just joining training sessions
I'm very athletic and would love to learn some football skills, just
wondering if there are any beginner training sessions that I could come
along to?
thanks so much

Thanks for this Lesley.
Can you share a size guide?
Also, is this women's fit? If so can I also order one that's men's fit? Is the cost the same?

Hi all,
really sorry for the late notice but if anyone wants to go to Sheffield 1st
Sep for a mixed 8-a-side tourney let me know and I'll see if we can get
enough to register a team, or if they'd be happy for the odd person to slot
into other teams.
Please forward to all your teams on whatsapp etc and ask people to contact
me salwood82(a)gmail.com or 07718 13039.
Might be able to arrange transport...
Sal FW xx
*Mount Pleasant Park FC September tournament*
*SAVE THE DATE: *SUNDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER
*WHERE:* Goodwin, Bramley Pitches, Sheffield
*WHEN:* Registration - 12:30pm | First game KO - 1pm | Finish - 5pm
*WHAT:* 8-a-side
*HOW MUCH:* TBC - but probably, £5 sub, £10 full per player - no one turned
away for lack of funds.
*Overview*As with all our tournaments, the focus is on having fun -
communicating and playing in a way that makes everyone feel welcome and
included. Teams will differ in terms of levels of confidence and
experience, and in other respects such as their gender make-up, but we
don't want any of that to affect anyone's enjoyment of the tournament.
Charities TBC!
*Rules*
- No slide tackles
- If you wear studs, please be mindful of challenges
- Kick ins from the sides
- Over head height is allowed from open play, goal kicks, kick ins and
corners
- Going in the area is allowed - please be mindful of challenges and
50/50s with keepers!
- Shinpads recommended but not required
- Be kind – actively encourage others
- No vulgar language, discrimination or discouragement – keep it
friendly.
*Club Policies*
Inclusivity
We stand against all forms of discrimination. Anyone behaving at MPPFC
events on or off the pitch in a way which is sexist, homophobic,
transphobic, racist or disablist will be asked to stop and, depending on
the seriousness, may be asked to leave.
Tackling
Football is obviously a contact sport. However, we don’t want any dangerous
tackles, or for players to be overly physical or aggressive. For example,
no slide tackling, and if you’re uncertain you can stop someone safely, do
not make a challenge (let them go, we don’t care about the score). Avoid
this even if you think someone can ‘take it’.
Communication
We expect members to communicate in a respectful and constructive way with
each other, and to encourage others less experiences people without being
patronising. We don’t want people shouting at teammates or opponents, or
bossing others around. Ultimately, we want members who play with a smile
and are prepared to laugh at themselves, while avoiding macho banter and
aggression. We’d also ask members try to avoid using gendered language on
the pitch (e.g. ‘man on’).
Taking responsibility
Be responsible for yourself. Check your own behaviour, and try to take your
cue from those around you. If someone calls you out for something you’ve
done or said, please don’t be put out, but listen. We all get it wrong, but
we’re all trying to make the space better. Be responsible for your
teammates and if you notice one of them getting wound up or overly physical
and aggressive, have a word with them and remind them it’s not that kind of
game. Back others up who do the same if needed.
Accountability
We hope that most of this will be self-policing and that teams will take
collective responsibility. However, if there is an issue with another
player repeatedly not respecting the code of conduct, and are making others
uncomfortable, it can be brought to the committee who can mediate or
approach the player and attempt to resolve the issue. If the issue is
serious (e.g. relates to aggressive behaviour, racism, sexism, homophobia,
transphobia) and cannot be resolved, they may be asked to leave the
tournament.
Complaints
The club will take appropriate action if any complaint or issue is raised
by a player regarding another player's breach of the above club policies.
Depending on the behaviour, you may be asked to leave the tournament and
will not be able to attend future tournaments. If you have any concerns
about someone's behaviour and would like the club to help you deal with the
issue, please feel free to contact us. Complaints will be addressed by two
nominated committee members, contactable either by email or text.

CALLING ALL COWGIRLS! and ALL non-binary folks This tour to Clapton is for you! Its a tour to bring together ALL people who want to play fun and inclusive football and say a massive fuck you to the system. Clapton like the Easton Cowfolk are very active in their solidarity for those within out communities and outside of communities who don't have a voice. We are using the day to play football and network with like minded folk, with the long term aim for this tournament to be a yearly fun event to meet new folks and raise money for important causes.
For this to work we need a team of people to go, so I am asking ALL members of the Cowgirls (netball and softball too) to think about coming a long. The tournament isn't about the competiton, but to give folks the space to network and get a taster of what a network tournament will feel like (and we are not invited to the main annual network tour in Germany), so Clapton has invited to this one.
The game takes place at the Old Spotted dog, East London, and on the day, there is going to be food, music and lots of brilliant people to meet. Because this is important to the Cowfolk as well as Clapton. They have provided accommodation for those who are interested, so I need people to get back to me as soon as possible to let me know they can attend.
The game starts at 1:30 and we will be playing against Clapton 3rd (see link below for more information) team made of Womyn and Non-Binary people, once the men's game and the Cowgirls/Clapton game has finished the party starts, there will be Cowfolk DJs, Clapton DJs and Bands. ALL takes place at the Old Spotted Dog so need to think about going any where else. In addition showers and changing rooms are provided.
Money-
Money collected to play game will go to toward the GAZA sunbirds
Money raised from the bar will go back to the Old Spotted Dog
Money raised from the sale of food will go back to the Clapton football club
There will be speeches before we split for a PARTAYYYYYY
Thank you to those who were able to attend last weeks meeting both in person and online, and via WhatsApp.
We discussed at the meeting mainly what roles need to be filled, the theme- Palestine colours and the date 27th of July.
The roles listed below will need to be discussed at our next planning meeting 30th of May at the Plough 6:30pm. Same as the last meeting we would like one or two people from each section of the club to attend the planning meeting, to ensure that roles are distributed fairly, ALL men's teams, Softball, Netball, Women's football, Basketball, Cricket,..... And the rest if it not mentioned already
Roles
Fundraising activities for after the awards
2x teams to cook
Set up at ECC before
Pack down after.
Host awards- engaging the audience, and keeping the program flowing smoothly.
If you would like to contribute any further or if you have any questions please attend the meeting on the 30th of May at 6:30pm at the Plough.
Date of awards has been booked in for:- Saturday 27th of July at Easton community Centre (ECC) between 3pm-10pm.
YES PARTY AT PLOUGH AFTERWARDS!
Hey Everyone!
Looking for pictures to added to a slide show during the EOS awards! Please can you get digging out some photos, either past seasons, from the very beginning, last season, cup games, nights out etc etc.
Please send to me by 19th July :)
