I hope you've all read the Peashooter by now (if you haven't, take a look, I recon it's one of the best published yet...), and following on from it thought I'd share this as I really liked it! It's just a wee reminder that it's ok to struggle and some handy tips to recognise when you're struggling and what you might be able to do about it. Be kind. Support the Colston 4 - Actions to take on Monday 25th Jan Easton Cowgirls want to show our support and solidarity for the four people in court on Monday 25th January, charged with criminal damage for removing the statue of slave trader Edward Colston which has loomed over our city. *1. Please share this gaphic (prepared by Liz, thanks!) on your Facebok / Twitter / Instagrams on Monday between 9.30am and 10am adding something about why you joined the demo in June (if you did) or your reaction when you heard the statue had fallen. Please use the hashtag #gladcolstonsgone* 2. There will be on online demo and 'teach-in' on Monday morning at 9.30am with speeches and an 8 minute silent vigil. If you would like to join the virtual demo on Monday morning please email kelly84500(a)riseup.net who will send you a zoom link. On Monday evening there will be a series of short films and a discussion panel hosted by Bristol Radical History Group and Cube Cinema. Looking for people to be part of a panel discussion on zoom talking about your lived experience as an LGBT+ or queer person playing football. I will be hosting the panel. It’ll be fun and relaxed, we’ll be unpacking good and bad experiences of queerness in football. Absolutely no experience necessary in regards to speaking on a panel. The event will be held in February at some point for LGBT+ history month, will let folks know exact dates soon. It’s a collaboration with an organisation called Football vs Homophobia who I’ve started freelancing with. It’s a paid gig. Good evening all! As you can imagine from yesterday’s prime time telly, we’re not allowed to train right now. Poo. However, Marcella has kindly offered her amazing workout again, so: If you would like to join via Zoom, please let me know ASAP by sending a message to 07944216036 or replying to me via email. It’ll be 7:30-8:15pm on Thursday, cost £4 / 3 (waged / unwaged), payable in advance to Marcella directly. We will then meet in the ‘virtual pub’ after.
