We’re working on Oracle and IE8, using Alfresco Share and packaging JARs, so there is a nice job to get it running over Alfresco CE:

Some minor web interface fixes to support IE8
Custom fixes for ALF-17221, ALF-17870 and ALF-20715
Some hacking on Activiti integration
Currently we don’t have a ready to deploy package over Alfresco 4.2.c with this fixes, but it could be prepared in the future.

It has a ton of patches, fixes, integrations and customizations. The Library wants to move to EE but they have no budget. It’s not a big system (about 6,000 documents and a hundred of users), but it’s serving as a production service.

If you consider this case noteworthy, I could check with them the possibility to include their experience at OOTB (better in September, August is an empty month).
